Vermaak Equine, as agent, will be offering a six strong draft at this year’s Emperors Palace Ready To Run Sale, due to take place in Germiston on November 3rd.

This draft is made up solely of two-year-olds sired by proven G1 producing stallions and looks sure to have plenty of appeal to discerning buyers.
The tragically short-lived G1 Racing Post Trophy winner Kingsbarns made a big impression with his first small local crop headed by Equus Champion and G1 Thekwini Stakes winner Gabor, and the son of Galileo has two juveniles in Vermaak Equine’s draft.

Galactico (Lot 7) is a filly out of millionaire and former Ready To Run Cup winner Winter Star, and she hails from the family of Canadian champion Added Edge, while Kingsbarns colt Stone Circle (Lot 121) is out of a winning daughter of a G3 winning own sister to G1 Empress Club Stakes winner Legality.

Triple G1 winner Oratorio, the sire of more than 50 stakes winners worldwide, is represented here by Emerald Floe. The latter, a full-sister to recent Hong Kong scorer Ezra, is a half-sister to five other decent winners, and her dam is none other than G1 Cape Fillies Guineas winner Emerald Beauty.

Other appealing lots in this draft include Forward March (Lot 112), a Pathfork filly whose dam is a 3 time winning half-sister to G1 winner and promising sire Potala Palace and top filly Front And Centre, Tonights The Night (Lot 128), a Toreador colt from the family of outstanding Australian galloper Naturalism, and Conchita (Lot 142). The latter, a daughter of proven G1 sire Toreador –sadly now deceased, is out of a winning Silvano half-sister to Kings Cup second Royal Armour and three-parts sister to Golden Slipper second Mazari.
